Master Optical Unit (MOU)
|
Shyam Telecom’s range of Master Optical Units allows mobile operators, real-estate developers, and neutral-host providers to cater to wide range of applications, both indoor DAS and outdoor DAS. With single, dual, and multiple operator capabilities, Shyam Telecom’s MOUs are designed to further the concept of BTS Hotels. The master unit converts RF signal to optical for transmissions over fiber.
Opti-Link®, BTS-Link®, and Air-Link, are ideal for wide range of applications. The three different types of MOUs provide mobile operators with flexibility for coverage network design and expansion.

Opti-Link®
|
Opti-Link® connects to a BTS through a BTS Interface Unit (BIU) and provides coverage by connecting to up to 24 remote units through Optical Interface Units (OIU). Opti-Link® supports single/dual/triple band units to provide uniform coverage in multi-operator environments. Opti-Link® is a modular and field upgradeable system which gives flexibility to add extra modules with different frequencies. In environments where direct access to a BTS is not possible, Opti-Link’s Air Interface Unit (AIU) taps the capacity and RF signal from a nearby BTS to provide homogenous coverage throughout the building. Such an application is useful where sufficient capacity already exists on the nearby BTS.

BTS-Link®
|
BTS-Link® is designed to cater to environments which require high-power remote units. The system can provide coverage to areas at distances of up to 20 Kms (~12 miles) from the master units. The BTS-Link® can support up to three bands with varying number of remote units (up to 8 remotes).

| Air-Link |
Air-Link is designed applications in tunnels, highways, and large structures where it is not possible to physically locate the master unit next to a BTS. Air-Link picks-up signal from nearby existing BTS sites and connects to high-power remote units to serve areas at distant locations. The system supports up to three different bands with varying number of remote units (up to 8 remotes).
