Wexford mine, a gold mine site and its neighboring residential area, in the Western province of Ghana experienced call drops and poor voice quality. Wexford mine is located in a valley surrounded by thick vegetation which resulted in poor Quality of Service in the region.
Shyam Telecom provided Mobitel with an optimal outdoor coverage solution which allowed the mobile operator to provide improved Quality of Service(QoS) in the mine as well as the residential area. The absence of reliable electricity was addressed by using alternate electricity source such as solar panels. |
